Its been so long since I've posted here. Life is busy. I look forward to faire season, and have an idea for a dofferent cosume this year. If I can manage the time I'd like to put together a Woodland Faerie costume with wings. If I actually get it done I'll be sure to post pictures. Does anyone actually read this, I wonder?

Well, I saw the new Star Trek movie last night. Meh. I tried to keep an open mind until I saw it, and I scolded a friend of mine who blasted it sight unseen. Now I must reluctantly quote him: "if you have to break the toys someone else created to tell your story, then it's best you don't play with them." I'm an Original Star Trek fan. I would prefer if people would not mess with the time line, drastically alter character behavior, and set up a scenario in which they can now throw everything I ever knew about Star Trek into the trash because everything is different now. I've invested many years into those charcters, I'm not dumping them so that I can stomach your "this is how they do it these days" charcters. Ugh. I think I'll go put in the original series HD DVDs. I feel.... dirty.
